I have great news to report to all those who were hoping to sell or buy residential real estate this spring. As of late yesterday afternoon, Governor Wolf relaxed the restrictions for the real estate industry—even in the “red zone”. As opposed to the restrictions that have been in place since March, agents may now enter houses to list them, and agents and their buyers may enter those homes for sale in order to see them in person. There may be no more than 3 people in a house at the same time: an agent and two buyers or sellers, or an agent, a buyer and an inspector. No public open houses are allowed. Formal appointments must govern all in-person meetings in a house. All businesses in the real estate industry “are permitted to conduct in-person operations”.
This is a welcome change and will allow realtors to better serve their clients. The Loretta Witt Homes Team—myself, Bill Shelton, Ernie Tracy, Caroline Masters, Jennifer Flynn, Baiyina Brown and Janet Lippincott—will be delighted help you, all the while following strict protocols designed to keep all involved safe and healthy.
Wishing you and your families well,
